Horse Care
Horses are kept in an environment that simulates the living conditions of wild horses while still attending to individual needs. The track system promotes movement over different terrain. Herds are created per horses dietary and social needs.
Horses living on the tracks are provided with free-choice Redmond salt. They are fed a daily ration formulated specifically for the Horse First Farm and then adjusted to fit each horse’s individual needs.

Hay is tested for safety and nutritional value and is fed on the tracks in slow feeder hay nets allowing horses to have continual access to forage.

Shelters are available on each track for shade and protection from the weather.

The Horse First promotes healthy, holistic horse care through a parasite monitoring system.

Staff perform daily health check of each horse.
Horse Board
Full Service Natural Track Board:
$550 (+tax)
Includes daily feed, health check and continual access to high quality forage.
Current track boarders may rent a stall for $10 per night for temporary health reasons.
Full Service Temporary Board in Pens:
$25 per day, $175 per week, $750 per month (+tax)
Includes daily feed, health check and continual access to high quality forage.
Pens are available for horses as a temporary living situation, such as, for training or injury rehab.
Full Service Temporary Board in Stalls:
$30 per day, $200 per week, $850 per month (+tax)
Includes daily feed, health check and continual access to high quality forage.
Stalls are available for horses as a temporary living situation, such as, for training or injury rehab.
Horse Care Services
Handling
$20 per hour
Pertaining to helping with vet care, hoof care, bodywork, hand walking, cold hosing, wrapping etc.
Fly Masks
$25 monthly
Removing at night, replacing in the morning.
Minor Service Care
$1-3 per event
Such as applying ointment or picking out feet.
Exercise Program
45 minutes to 1 hour Riding or On Line sessions with emphasis on physical fitness. This is not a replacement for training but a great way to keep your horse fit when you are unable to.
$25 for a single session
$100 for 4 sessions a month (1x a week)
$180 for 8 sessions a month (2x a week)
$240 for 12 sessions a month (3x a week)
Blanketing
$50 monthly or $2 per event
Removing and putting on $2 per event, this may be done at the staff's discretion or upon boarder request.
Sales
$25 per listing
Boarded horses may be listed on our website with picture and description, or we can assist you in rehoming your horse for 20% commission.
